One day I traveled a road I had never been down. Then I came upon a place on the ground marked by three white arrows. A disembodied voice told me that these arrows represented three different paths of life. It said that I may either choose one of these or turn back the way I came.

I looked to the left and saw mansions, fancy cars, and gold-paved streets. These people seemed very happy in life. But then I noticed a group of people off to the side. They looked hungry and tired and were dressed only in rags. "What path is this?"

~This is the easy road to success. If you turn on your friends, lie, cheat, and take credit for others' hard work then you can be very wealthy and successful~

I looked to my right and saw a room where many people were hurrying about; making calls, filing reports, typing, and similar activities. "What path is this?"

~This is the hard road to success. Through your own efforts and by your own hard work you will slowly work your way up the ladder and eventually become wealthy and successful~

And finally I looked straight ahead, and beheld the most fantastical sight. There were castles and hovering cars and dragons and many other things that should not exist in this world. "What path is this?"

~This is the path of imagination. Using the power of your own mind there are endless possibilities. Anything you can dream can happen. All you have to do is create. Down this path, whatever you want to accomplish or become in life is a possibility~

~Or you can go back the way you came. Do you know which path you will choose?~

I looked to the left, and then to the right, and smiled. "Yes, I know." And then I continued straight ahead down this road I had yet to travel and never looked back since.
